Building the Future of Care

Each year, the physicians and medical staff at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and AdventHealth South Overland Park invest in the future of medicine through dedicated Medical Staff Scholarships.

These awards recognize outstanding medical students with strong academic achievement, leadership experience and a commitment to serving our community.

Recipients receive a $5,000 scholarship to assist with educational expenses, along with special recognition as emerging physician leaders.

For medical students enrolled in an accredited MD or DO program who have ties to the Kansas City area.

  • Up to three scholarships awarded annually

  • $5,000 stipend

  • Deadline: March 31, 2026

For medical students enrolled in an accredited MD or DO program who are natives of Johnson or Miami counties.
